We met again in that place where the colours and shadows of an eclipse played upon the gleaming concrete walls, reddish hues dancing as the sun slowly veiled itself.
Outside, I searched for the heart of the sea as I contemplated the light. Suddenly I saw her, moving gracefully between the passageways and the half-darkness, as light-footed as she had always been.
The phenomenon had painted a few silver hairs into her beautiful black mane and changed the harlequin colour of her eyes to a deep ice-blue, as though translating the sky into her gaze.
I took her into my arms, feeling that visceral devotion which only my being recognises with her, and the cosmos fell silent and suspended in that instant.
Umbra Compartida
Coincidimos de nuevo en aquel lugar donde los colores y las sombras de un eclipse jugaban con los brillantes muros de concreto; los tintes rojizos danzaban al paso que el sol se cubría.
Afuera buscaba al corazón del mar al tiempo que contemplaba la luz. De pronto la vi, cruzaba elegantemente entre los pasillos y la oscuridad parcial, iba tan ligera como ella siempre fue.
Aquel fenómeno le había pintado unas cuantas canas a su hermosa cabellera negra y había cambiado el color arlequín de sus ojos a un profundo azul hielo, como traduciendo el cielo en su mirada.
La tomé entre mis brazos sintiendo esa devoción visceral que solo mi ser reconoce con ella, y el cosmos quedó silencioso y suspendido en ese instante.
